The answer before the background

Our recommendation

The best Dice Hunter dice are not a permanent list of the highest rarity or Power. A useful team must produce the symbols required by the level, cover its elements and countdowns, and carry active skills that remain valuable after a poor roll. Compare dice at the same level and evolution, inspect their six-face distribution and current skill, then score objective coverage, control, damage, recovery and team redundancy. A Dice Hunter tier list that omits stage, version and investment is not reproducible.

Rank the job each die performs

AxisQuestionEvidence to record
Symbol coverageDoes the die supply faces the objective needs?Current six-face distribution from the info card.
Skill timingCan the special power stop the dangerous action?Cooldown or trigger and the exact turn it matters.
Element fitDoes it answer the enemy or event rules?Level element, resistance or weak-point behavior.
ConsistencyDoes the team recover from a weak roll?Success rate over several comparable attempts.
InvestmentWhat level, evolution and shards were required?Equalized account state before comparison.

Use the information the client exposes

Version 4.2.0 added a long-press view for all six faces, the skill name and character portrait. Version 4.0.0 introduced a clear Power value, and version 5.0.1 added sorting by element, Power or star count. These tools make an evidence-based comparison possible, but none of them declares an official S tier.

Power is a useful baseline, not the final answer. A lower-Power die can be essential when its symbols complete an objective or its skill interrupts a countdown. Conversely, six individually strong dice can form a fragile team when they duplicate one face type and leave no recovery from an unlucky roll.

Compare one slot while holding the board constant

  • Choose a repeatable stage, daily event or boss and write its objective and failure condition.
  • Keep five dice, account level and major settings fixed; replace only the candidate slot.
  • Normalize level and evolution as closely as the account allows, and flag any remaining difference.
  • Run several attempts and record success, turns, damage prevented, required symbols missed and skill value.
  • Publish a result as Tested, Provisional or Historical depending on version and sample quality.

A team slot can change rank by objective

An S rating should mean consistently excellent for a stated job under stated conditions, not popular in an old screenshot. Separate general story progression, symbol puzzles, tournament dungeons, daily events and historical Titans. The best control die for a countdown may not be the fastest farming option.

Community discussions and old videos can nominate candidates, but verify every named die in the current client. Dice Hunter 2 is also a separate upcoming sequel with a reworked playfield and a new Hero-acquisition system; its alpha footage must never be merged into an original-game tier list.

Common questions

What is the best die in Dice Hunter?

There is no verified universal winner. Rank equal-investment dice by symbol coverage, skill timing, element, consistency and the target objective.

Is the highest-Power die always best?

No. Power is a baseline; required faces and a timely skill can make a lower-Power die more valuable for a specific puzzle.

How can I see a die's face distribution?

Apple's version history says the long-press info card shows all six faces and the skill; verify the current client menu.

Can Dice Hunter 2 alpha dice be ranked with the original?

No. The sequel is a separate project with a reworked playfield and different acquisition systems.
