The answer before the background

Our recommendation

Otherworld legends multiplayer supports online co-op with up to four friends according to the official mobile listings. Steam additionally lists online co-op, LAN co-op and Remote Play Together. Offline play is the single-player battle route described on mobile; it does not mean matchmaking, account sync, events or purchases work without a connection. Version 3.3.1 fixed a prompt that could interrupt Play Online matchmaking, showing why connection troubleshooting needs a patch label.

Match version and region before rebuilding the network

Use the current Play Online menu, confirm every player has a compatible version, and test without VPN or modified files. A prompt or lobby failure can be a known patch issue rather than a permanent lack of multiplayer. Official notes should be checked before changing accounts or saves.

Co-op build advice also changes. Coordinate crowd control and boss damage, avoid overlapping long animations, and disclose paid heroes or skins. A solo tier list should not automatically become a team ranking.

Low-risk checks first

  • Update all clients through official stores.
  • Confirm the same mode and compatible region/session settings.
  • Restart the lobby and network before editing data.
  • Disable unsupported modifications.
  • Preserve account and save state before reinstalling.
