Fast answer
The answer before the background
Otherworld legends weapons are equipped finds with levels and affixes, not ordinary passive items. A higher level can improve stats, but the useful roll is the one whose category and character-specific affixes reinforce the current hero. Replacing a weapon drops or sells the old one according to the active interface, so compare real attack behavior and affixes before swapping. Historical Forge Table advice may describe a removed Fabled Article system rather than today's weapon shop.
Evaluation
Compare the roll, not only the level
- Check base level and the stats it actually changes.
- Read category affixes and whether they support current item tags.
- Identify universal versus character-specific affixes.
- Test whether normal-attack effects matter to a skill-led hero.
- Compare the new weapon before selling or dropping a functional current roll.
Hero fit
A strong affix can still belong to the wrong loop
A normal-attack elemental chance helps a hero who contacts enemies frequently but can be nearly irrelevant when damage comes from a slow skill or autonomous effect. A character-specific Soulboon-style affix may be powerful only for its named hero. Weapon evaluation therefore belongs beside the build's trigger sentence, not in a context-free list.
Level also needs context. A modest weapon with two useful categories can outperform a higher roll that increases unused stats. When a guide recommends enhancement, confirm the resource cost, current interface and whether the edition retains that mechanic.
System boundary
Do not mix weapons, passive items and removed Fabled Articles
| Object | Role | Verification |
|---|---|---|
| Weapon | Equipped roll with level and affixes | Current ground, chest or Forge behavior |
| Passive item | Inventory effect and tag interactions | Item card and fusion database |
| Realmsoul | Hero-bound permanent modifier | Realmsoul system and owned hero |
| Fabled Article | Historical system in older guides | Check whether the referenced version still exposes it |
FAQ
Common questions
Where do weapons come from?
The community reference lists chest and Forge sources. The exact interface and reward pool should be checked in the current mode and version.
Is a higher weapon level always better?
No. Level improves values, but affix fit, category, hero, attack pattern and current build can make a lower roll more useful.
Can any hero use character-specific affixes?
No. Some rolls are tied to one character; verify the name and ownership before planning around them.
Can I keep multiple weapons?
The active equipped weapon is replaced when another is taken under the current rules. Read the live interface before dropping or selling the existing roll.
