Fast answer
The answer before the background
To counter Alien Creeps TD enemies, tap the Creep during battle or open the Xenopedia from the map settings and read its defense icon. Outplay states that Armoured Creeps resist Laser damage, while Shielded Creeps reduce damage from Machine-Guns, Rockets and Infantry. Lasers therefore answer shields, not armour. Build the counter before the resistant wave reaches the main choke, then use infantry and heroes to hold targets inside the correct tower's range.
Official counter table
Read defense before adding more of the wrong damage
| Enemy signal | What it resists | First response | What to inspect next |
|---|---|---|---|
| Body Armour icon | Laser damage | Use non-Laser damage and keep the target in overlapping fire. | Speed, route and whether crowd units hide behind it. |
| Shield icon / blue shield response | Machine-Guns, Rockets and Infantry | Place or upgrade Laser coverage. | Whether the Laser position can stay on target long enough. |
| Fast unit | Not a defense class by itself | Move the hold point earlier and preserve a support ability. | Which tower loses tracking or range first. |
| Dense group | Varies by members | Combine area damage with a stable block. | Tap the durable unit rather than assuming the whole group matches. |
Enemy database
Use the Xenopedia as the live source of truth
The Xenopedia is reached from the main map settings through the Alien Creep head button. It only displays enemies already encountered, which prevents the database from being mistaken for an always-complete external list. During a level, tapping a target opens a smaller panel with its defense information. That is the fastest way to confirm why a familiar layout suddenly underperforms.
Community pages group campaign enemies, bosses and elite enemies and can help locate a name such as Grunt, Juggernaut or Tyrannus. Use those labels as a navigation aid, not as a guarantee that every old statistic is unchanged. The current client and official defense rules outrank an undated copied table.
Failure analysis
A boss is usually a coverage-duration test
- Pause the fast-forward control and identify the first enemy that survives the prepared kill zone.
- Check whether resistance, speed, healing, flight or raw durability caused the escape; each demands a different correction.
- Move infantry so the correct towers keep firing. Blocking outside the strongest coverage wastes both units and upgrades.
- Save Tesla charges, Airstrikes or Reinforcements for the moment the normal defense no longer holds, not for the opening wave.
- If the counter tower is already correct, upgrade its permanent tier or position before filling empty pads with weaker copies.
Shielded enemies are the Laser target. Armoured enemies resist Lasers. Treating both icons as generic toughness is a common reason late waves survive.

Do Lasers counter Armoured Creeps?
No. Armoured Creeps resist Laser damage, so use a different damage source.
Is the community enemy wiki official?
No. It is a community reference. Use it for names and navigation, then verify mechanics in the live game or Outplay help.
