Fast answer
The answer before the background
The best Element TD 2 wiki is a source stack rather than one page. Use the Steam store for supported platforms and headline feature counts, official announcements for current balance and networking, the developer-pinned FAQ for historical platform decisions, and the developer-linked beginner guide for core mechanics. Use Steam discussions, Reddit and community guides for build examples only after checking their date. SteamDB and Steam Charts can show third-party package or concurrency history, but they do not define official balance, sales, bans or server status.

Open the source that owns the fact
| Question | Best first source | Why | Freshness check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Current patch or tower change | Official announcements | Element Studios publishes dated version notes | Use the newest live version heading. |
| Platform or requirements | Steam store plus developer FAQ | They define the supported product boundary | Check the current OS row and Steam client notice. |
| How elements and interest work | Developer-linked beginner guide | It explains the intended mechanic loop | Recheck old percentages in the current client. |
| Best tower or build | Recent community guide, Reddit or replay | Players supply mode-specific experiments | Require patch, map, mode and player count. |
| Population history | Steam Charts or SteamDB | They aggregate public Steam signals | Treat figures as third-party estimates, not total players. |
| Leaderboard result | In-game or Steam leaderboard | It reflects the relevant score system | Confirm the last official reset. |
Reddit and Discord
Ask a question that can be reproduced
- Include the game version, mode, map, player count and whether Mazing is installed.
- Name the first failed wave and the elements already picked rather than posting only the final tower screenshot.
- When asking for a tier judgment, specify the job: boss damage, wave clear, slow, support or economy.
- Do not copy a Discord file or Cheat Engine table into a ranked client merely because another player posted it.
- Return to the official patch notes when two community answers disagree about a number.
Stats boundary
Player-count charts are not the same as owned copies or server capacity
Steam Charts generally reflects concurrent Steam users observed over time. It does not count everyone who owns the game, everyone playing offline, or players active in a different hour. SteamDB aggregates package, depot, price and chart signals, but it is not operated by Element Studios. Both can be useful context when dated and labeled correctly.
Leaderboard data has another boundary: official balance patches can wipe score boards while leaving ranked seasons or campaign data under different rules. The 1.9.6 notes explicitly describe a reset after balance and exploit fixes. A falling score count after such a reset is not evidence that the game removed a mode.
When preserving a community answer, save the publication date, named version and the mode it tested. A tower recommendation without those three fields is an anecdote, not a reusable database row. The same rule applies to video guides: footage can demonstrate placement and timing while its numerical breakpoints have already changed. Keep the demonstration, but recheck the numbers in the live client and newest official notes.
FAQ
Common questions
Is there an official Element TD 2 wiki?
No single official wiki was identified. The most reliable stack is the Steam store, official announcements, developer FAQ and developer-linked guide.
Where is the Element TD 2 Discord?
The developer FAQ and beginner guide link the community Discord. Use the current link from those official Steam pages rather than a copied invite.
Are Reddit tower rankings reliable?
They are useful examples when the post includes patch, mode and map. They are not official or permanent rankings.
What do Steam Charts and SteamDB measure?
They provide third-party Steam activity and package history. They do not measure every owner, define live balance or replace official support.
