Exact strength changes with research, level, tile bonuses, enemy immunities, and the current patch.
For the early story, use one dependable general damage tower and add the missing job only when the enemy mix demands it. A slow field does not replace damage, and three damage towers that all fail against the same enemy are not a balanced defense.
