Fast answer
The answer before the background
Build each Inotia 4 class around one primary job, then correct accuracy and survival before adding more damage. A dependable baseline is STR/VIT Warrior, VIT Black Knight, DEX Assassin, DEX/VIT Ranger, MEN-focused Priest, or INT/VIT Warlock. These are starting blueprints—not irreversible point-by-point formulas.
Build matrix
Six practical class blueprints
| Class | Stat direction | Core skill package | Best partner |
|---|---|---|---|
| Warrior | STR main, VIT support; repair hit rate with DEX or gear | Rush of Anger, Giant Blow, Enrage, Blood Thirst, Skin of Steel | Priest or ranged damage |
| Black Knight | VIT tank; INT hybrid only when defense is stable | Phantom Clash, Curse of Screams, Guardian of Darkness, Demon's Shield, Molten Armor | Warlock, Ranger, or Assassin |
| Assassin | DEX main; add VIT when burst windows are unsafe | Whist, Energy Bodhi, Assassin's Sword, Freeze Extreme | Tank plus Priest |
| Ranger | DEX/VIT physical baseline; MEN is an advanced skill route | Aimed Shot, Sniping, Ambush, Beast Companion, Spirit of Nature | Black Knight or Warrior |
| Priest | MEN main; add accuracy or VIT based on failures | Prayer of Recovery, Light Command, Celestial Armor, Blinding Flash, Healing Enhancement | Any front-line tank |
| Warlock | INT main, VIT support | Summon Bard, Blood Revenge, Blade of Darkness, Lightning of Hell; Hell's Pawn for utility | Black Knight or Warrior |
Melee builds
Warrior, Black Knight, and Assassin
Warrior: treat STR as the damage engine and VIT as the margin for error. The important correction is hit rate. If misses increase, spend some DEX or use hit-rate jewels and equipment. Rush of Anger and Giant Blow give control, while Blood Thirst, Enrage, and Skin of Steel keep the build stable.
Black Knight: decide whether the character is a tank or a hybrid before spending heavily. A VIT-led shield build uses aggro, defense, and Molten Armor to hold fights together. An INT hybrid can improve magic-linked damage but should not sacrifice the durability the party depends on.
Assassin: DEX is the cleanest default because it supports damage, hit rate, and evasion. The boss loop centers on entering a burst window with Whist, using Energy Bodhi and Assassin's Sword, then surviving the gap. Add VIT when that gap becomes the reason attempts fail.
Ranged builds
Ranger, Priest, and Warlock
Ranger: a 2 DEX / 1 VIT rhythm is a community-tested baseline, not a mandatory final formula. It keeps bow damage, accuracy, evasion, and durability moving together. MEN-based skill builds exist, but they give up some of the safety and normal-attack synergy that make Ranger approachable.
Priest: start with MEN for its magic and skill relationship, then watch accuracy, critical interactions, and survivability. Prayer of Recovery, Light Command, Celestial Armor, and Blinding Flash form a reliable support core. Damage passives should come after the party can survive a full boss cycle.
Warlock: use INT as the main damage stat and add VIT before the class becomes a one-hit liability. Summon Bard adds protection; Blood Revenge, Blade of Darkness, and Lightning of Hell drive damage. A tank is not optional when the Warlock repeatedly pulls aggro.
Correction loop
How to know what the next point should fix
| What is going wrong | First correction | Do not do this first |
|---|---|---|
| Normal attacks miss | Add DEX, hit-rate gear, or hit-rate jewels | Stack more STR or INT and hope damage compensates. |
| Boss kills the main character during a rotation | Add VIT, a tank, healing, or defensive skills | Spend everything on critical damage. |
| Tank loses enemy attention | Use aggro skills and reduce reckless burst timing | Replace the tank with another damage dealer. |
| Party runs out of recovery | Add Priest support, sustain skills, and consumable planning | Assume faster damage will solve every boss. |
| Damage is safe but too slow | Upgrade the main scaling stat, weapon, and relevant passives | Rebuild every party member at once. |
Older Warlock and Priest guides describe rapid movement or attack-cancel techniques. The Steam version received keyboard, mouse, control, and stability updates after launch, so treat those techniques as platform-specific tests rather than guaranteed build requirements.
FAQ
Common questions
Should Warrior use only STR?
No. STR drives damage, but community mechanics references warn that it does not correct declining hit rate. Use DEX or hit-rate equipment when misses appear, and keep enough VIT to finish fights.
Is full DEX good for Assassin?
Full DEX is the maximum-damage and evasion baseline. DEX/VIT is the safer route when later bosses punish the Assassin between stealth and burst windows.
What is the safest Ranger stat build?
DEX/VIT is the practical physical baseline. A commonly cited community rhythm is 2 DEX and 1 VIT per level, but equipment and current platform behavior should decide whether you keep that ratio.
Should Warlock use INT or MEN?
INT is the clearer main damage recommendation in the long-running community build reference. Add VIT when survival limits damage uptime; MEN is secondary rather than the default focus.
