Fast answer
The answer before the background
Use the Fusion Machine for consumables first, then sockets and jewel upgrades, and only gamble with Chaos Combination when you can afford a worse roll. Unique weapon and armor recipes unlock through different machines as the story advances. Purple and yellow equipment can also come from bosses, ordinary loot, dealers, and the Memory Layers, so rarity color alone does not tell you whether an item has the right stats.
Recipe database
Potion and elixir fusion recipes
The table below reorganizes the long-running community Fusion Machine reference into a fast lookup. Names and quantities should be checked against the machine on your current platform before spending rare materials, especially on the newer Steam build.
| Result | Required materials | When it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Healing Potion S | 3 Leaf of Life | Basic early HP recovery. |
| Healing Potion M | 2 Leaf of Life + 2 Healing Potion S | A cheap step up from the smallest potion. |
| Healing Potion L | 4 Leaf of Life + 2 Healing Potion M | Mid-game HP recovery. |
| Healing Potion XL | 6 Leaf of Life + 2 Healing Potion L | High-capacity HP recovery. |
| Life Potion S | 1 Healing Potion S + 2 Fruit of Cause | Combined recovery route. |
| Life Potion M | 1 Healing Potion M + 4 Fruit of Cause | Combined mid-tier recovery. |
| Life Potion L | 1 Healing Potion L + 6 Fruit of Cause | Combined late-game recovery. |
| Life Potion XL | 1 Healing Potion XL + 8 Fruit of Cause | Ingredient for Elixir. |
| Elixir | 3 Life Potion XL + 12 Root of Soul | Expensive full-scale recovery item. |
| Supreme Elixir | 1 Transcendent Flower + 4 Dust of Death | Reserve rare materials until the result is actually needed. |
Do not convert every low-tier potion immediately. Keep enough basic recovery for the current dungeon, then fuse only the surplus required for the next tier.
Jewels and sockets
The upgrades that are safe—and the ones that are not
| Fusion action | Materials or cost | Important risk |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Jewel | 3 Novice Jewels + 90 copper | The resulting jewel type is not guaranteed to be the one you want. |
| Advanced Jewel | 3 Standard Jewels + 3 silver 60 copper | Higher tier does not guarantee a useful stat. |
| Supreme Jewel | 3 Advanced Jewels + 15 silver | Consumes nine Standard jewels before other costs. |
| Chaos Jewel | 3 Supreme Jewels + 60 silver | A very expensive random-result conversion. |
| Add one socket | 8 Sharp Claw + 1 Novice Jewel | Community reference applies this to zero-socket armor; verify the selected item before confirming. |
| Chaos Combination | Item + 2 Magic Branch + 2 Spell Crystal + 6 Mithril + 1 Chaos Scale + coins | Attack or defense can go down as well as up. |
| Epic Chaos Combination | Item + 1 Transcendent Flower + 3 Palpitant Crystal + 8 Mithril + 1 Chaos Scale + coins | Uses rare materials and is still not a guaranteed upgrade. |
Chaos Combination is a reroll, not a linear enhancement. Check the before-and-after number and never feed it the only copy of an irreplaceable weapon without a recovery plan.
Blueprint route
Where unique gear recipes appear
Unique gear is spread across Fusion Machines rather than sold from one permanent end-game menu. The route below is a community progression map; area access and exact machine behavior may differ after a platform update.
| Gear tier | Recipe category | Community-listed machine area |
|---|---|---|
| Class D | Weapons | Shadow Hall, early progression |
| Class D | Armor | Hakan Desert 5 |
| Class C | Weapons | Noxious Sanctum Basement 1 |
| Class C | Armor | Shadow Hall after Eara returns to Berkel |
| Class B | Weapons | Ronarck Cliff |
| Class B | Armor | Eldorn Forest 4 and Drow's Soul District 1 |
| Class A | Weapons | Snow Fey Village |
| Class S | Weapons | Hall of Afterlife |
| Class S | Armor | Hall of Afterlife, Lonely Plains, and Noxious Sanctum Floor B3 |
The community reference warns players to collect the Hall of Afterlife Class S recipes after the Alexander fight, and the Lonely Plains or Noxious Sanctum B3 recipes after the Dark Forces fight, before crossing the next right-side transition. Treat this as a save-point warning and verify it on your build.

Rare items
How yellow, purple, and Memory Layer drops work
The Steam release received fixes for item grades and the combination system after launch. Install current updates before diagnosing a machine that only produces Normal-grade items or a combination result that behaves unlike an older mobile guide.
| Item route | Where to look | How to evaluate the drop |
|---|---|---|
| Yellow unique equipment | Fusion, normal loot, rare-item dealers, and lamp dealers | Compare the actual roll, sockets, accuracy, and build fit—not the color alone. |
| Purple epic equipment | Red-star bosses from mid-game onward, Memory Layer bosses, and some shop routes | Boss source does not guarantee the same stat roll every time. |
| Hall of Salvation orb | Cannibal Grauple in Mist Forest 2, according to the community item reference | Check whether its rolled magic stats beat the equipped orb. |
| Gladiator Helmet | Uncontrollable Guardian in the South Room of Afterlife, according to the community item reference | Defense and secondary rolls decide whether it is useful. |
| Memory Layer boss gear | Post-story bosses across the five layers | Use the separate boss-drop list to target a slot rather than farming every encounter blindly. |
FAQ
Common questions
Can Chaos Combination make an item worse?
Yes. The community mechanics reference describes it as a random attack or defense change that can rise or fall. It is not a guaranteed enhancement.
Where do Class S weapon recipes appear?
The long-running community route places Class S weapon recipes in the Hall of Afterlife. Save before important story transitions because some late recipe access may be missable.
Are purple items always better than yellow items?
No. Rarity narrows the search, but variable stats, sockets, accuracy, defenses, and synergy with your build decide which item is actually better.
Why does my Steam Fusion Machine differ from an old guide?
Many English recipe references document older mobile behavior. Com2uS also fixed item-grade and combination bugs after the Steam launch, so update the game and verify the machine screen before spending rare materials.
