The answer before the background

Our recommendation

Creeper World 4 enemies are not one damage pool. Creeper is the flowing fluid pressure; Crimson is a tougher form that calls for Anti-Creeper and better positioning; active Mesh carries Creeper across height and void; Blobs destroy a target and may carry Eggs; Air Sacs deliver multiple hostile payloads and are intercepted by Missiles; Eggs can release Creeper when triggered. Identify the carrier, payload and terrain route before adding more generic ground weapons.

Depth and delivery create different emergencies

A high Creeper wave is a production race: Mortars remove depth while Cannons clean the moving edge. Crimson resists normal removal and makes Anti-Creeper support more valuable. Yellow or breeder terrain may create or amplify Creeper according to the map. The color is a warning to inspect the terrain definition, not a guarantee that every custom map uses the same value.

Mesh begins dormant and can activate from an attached hostile source. Once active, it can carry Creeper or Anti-Creeper over void and different elevations. It also damages player units even when no visible fluid sits on top. Cannons can prioritize and destroy Mesh, but doing so may also break an Anti-Creeper route you intended to use.

Keep the packet network out of the enemy's cheapest path

Blobs remember locations where earlier Blobs were destroyed and can route differently. One sacrificial Tower wall may intercept a carrier, but relying on the same obstacle forever is fragile. Put precision coverage over the network core and keep a replaceable outer target away from the Rift Lab.

Forbs, flip breeder systems, Parasites and named cauldrons are often map-defined. The maintained reference describes standard behaviors, while the mission script owns exact timing and payload. A reliable enemy guide states that boundary instead of turning one popular Colonies map into a universal bestiary.

Common questions

What does Mesh do?

Active Mesh carries Creeper or Anti-Creeper across height and void, damages player units and can be targeted by compatible weapons.

How do I stop Blobs?

Use Snipers to destroy them before impact and protect likely structures; an Egg carried by a Blob can remain a separate threat.

What kills an Air Sac?

Missiles intercept the Air Sac; remaining dropped units may still need Snipers or ground weapons.

Why is Crimson hard to clear?

It is a hardened Creeper state, so Anti-Creeper support, terrain and sustained pressure become more important.
