Fast answer
The answer before the background
Creeper World 4 weapons have distinct targets. Cannons remove thin Creeper and can attack Mesh; Mortars strike deep concentrations; Sprayers place Anti-Creeper; Snipers stop dangerous airborne or ground payload units; Missiles defend against aerial threats; Nullifiers neutralize enemy structures and often complete the Nullify objective. Bombers, Rockets, Berthas, Sweepers and Airships are heavier tools whose construction, ammunition or scenario access must be planned before the front depends on them.
Ground line
Match the weapon to depth, terrain and line of sight
A Cannon fires rapidly at Creeper-infested ground and is efficient against shallow movement. Its line of sight is terrain-based, so height and slope can leave a visually close pool untargetable. A Mortar reaches farther and removes a large amount from deep cells, but wastes much of a shell against a thin film. Use both when the front contains a shallow edge backed by deep pressure, not because a generic tier list ranks them together.
A Sprayer converts stored Anti-Creeper into territorial pressure. It is valuable for holding reclaimed ground and slowing hostile Mesh, but depends on Bluite processing and ammunition delivery. Its value is therefore an economy question as well as a damage question.
Threat counters
Air payloads require the correct interception layer
| Threat or objective | Primary answer | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Thin advancing Creeper | Cannon | Fast ground-targeted removal. |
| Deep Creeper basin | Mortar | Large per-shot depth removal. |
| Blob or other precision target | Sniper | Stops the carrier before impact. |
| Spore or Air Sac | Missile | Dedicated air interception. |
| Enemy emitter or nest | Nullifier | Neutralizes the structure when supplied. |
| Wide remote pool | Bomber / Bertha / orbital option | Projects power beyond a normal local line. |
| Reclaimed ground | Sprayer | Deposits Anti-Creeper to hold space. |
Heavy tools
A late weapon still needs a transport plan
A Runway and Bomber package consumes space and energy; a Rocket uses Liftic; a Bertha is expensive and must be fed; a Sweeper uses Liftic; an Airship is a major construction project. A search for how to reach a Bertha is often a campaign navigation problem rather than a build-menu question. Read whether the unit is supplied, prebuilt, buried or unlocked by the scenario.
A Nullifier can fail because it lacks a valid target, construction packets, ammunition, range or network connection. Selecting the device and checking its line, target marker and packet queue is safer than deleting the entire front. An Airship that appears disconnected may be a custom or framework-based unit whose network rules belong to that map.
FAQ
Common questions
What is the best basic weapon?
There is no universal choice: Cannon handles shallow fronts, Mortar handles depth, and the threat set determines the support weapons.
Why will my Cannon not shoot nearby Creeper?
Cannons target ground cells and need valid line of sight; steep terrain can block the shot.
What ammo does a Missile use?
The standard resource table lists Arg as Missile ammunition.
What completes a Nullify objective?
Every required enemy unit must be neutralized with a supplied Nullifier, subject to the map's custom rules.
