God of weapons eternal nightmare is a paid Steam expansion that requires the base game. It adds Treasure Hunter with weapon sockets and gems, Necromancer with summons, Plague Doctor with disease mechanics, new weapons, points of interest, enemies, bosses and an Infinity Mode. Separately, the same launch brought all base-game owners autosave, Favor/Banish, Armory dummy training, a status rework, Endless Mode and additional content.

Learn the new system before importing a base build

Treasure Hunter turns a weapon into a socket decision: a strong gem is useful only when the underlying weapon, shape and scaling still fit. Necromancer needs summon quantity and compatible support rather than a base melee list. Plague Doctor needs reliable disease application and spread. Rank each character inside its own rules before comparing peak damage.

Points of Interest, new enemies and bosses change route value. A guide should specify whether an objective is inside the cursed-city DLC content or the ordinary tower. Titanite spending also needs a named weapon plan; upgrading the first attractive drop can create a sunk cost that narrows later shops.

Endless preparation

Open-ended survival magnifies weak economy and geometry

A standard clear asks whether the build reaches a finish line. Endless or Infinity asks whether damage, defense and shop control continue scaling after the ordinary endpoint. Preserve reroll value, avoid a layout with no upgrade path, and record the wave or floor alongside difficulty and character.

Official announcements from May and June 2025 show active fixes after the expansion, including stability, translations, Armory entries, controller behavior and weapon interactions. Any exact DLC tier or highest-floor claim should therefore carry a version. A screenshot proves one run, not a permanent ceiling.
