God of Weapons is an arena roguelite where weapon shapes, inventory adjacency, stats, classes and timed floors turn packing decisions into combat power.
Current answer
What players need to know now.
God of Weapons is an inventory-focused action roguelike by Archmage Labs. Automatic weapon attacks handle basic firing while the player dodges, collects loot and organizes weapons and accessories inside limited space. The original Windows version launched on Steam on September 12, 2023; official Xbox and PS5 editions followed in 2025. Eternal Nightmare is a separate Steam DLC, while its launch also brought a substantial free update to the base game. No first-party Android, iOS or Nintendo Switch edition was verified in this review.

Build model
Combat power comes from damage, geometry and opportunity cost
| Layer | Decision | Reliable check |
|---|---|---|
| Character | Which perk and restriction define the run? | Read the selected aspect before buying a weapon family. |
| Weapons | Which scaling stat and delivery pattern deal damage? | Keep one main damage language and enough crowd coverage. |
| Items | Which adjacency or stat solves the failure? | Confirm the effect can touch the intended weapon squares. |
| Inventory | Can the layout still accept future upgrades? | Reserve flexible shapes instead of filling every early gap. |
| Floor objective | Clear, unlock, boss or Endless? | Change the build only when the next requirement changes. |
Low-regret opening
Six decisions that keep the run flexible
- 1
Choose one class rule and one main scaling stat before buying several unrelated weapons.
- 2
Place adjacency pieces deliberately; do not assume an item affects every weapon in the backpack.
- 3
Combine a weapon only when the stronger result is worth the space and shop cost.
- 4
Buy inventory expansion early enough to preserve useful shapes, but not instead of the damage needed for the next floor.
- 5
Use the Armory and training dummy for repeatable comparisons after the free 2025 update.
- 6
Record game version, platform and DLC ownership before copying a class, achievement or Endless build.
