Tower Defense · Deckbuilding Roguelike
Tower Tactics: Liberation guide
A tower-defense deckbuilder where cards place and upgrade towers, relics change the run, and route choices shape the next combat and reward.
Current answer
What players need to know now.
This Tower Tactics Liberation guide covers the current Windows game, its deckbuilding tower-defense loop, safe platform access, 18 base-game decks, Ascension, the Shrine and Sanctuary, plus Celestial Dawn and Astral Siege. Begin with a compact tower package that can survive early waves, add cards only when they solve a named weakness, and preserve enough mana for the next planned breakpoint. The latest checked official update is 1.18.5; Tower Tactics 2 is a separate sequel.

Official availability
Where Tower Tactics: Liberation is available.
| Edition | Official route | Verified scope |
|---|---|---|
| Base game | Steam app 1709900 | Windows single-player release by asraworks; full launch February 6, 2023 after Early Access. |
| Celestial Dawn | Steam DLC app 2328120 | First expansion: four decks, Survival mode, 40 cards, 40 trinkets and additional maps, enemies and waves. |
| Astral Siege | Steam DLC app 2986180 | Second expansion: Siege mode, its own progression, nine classes, seven decks, 50 cards and 50+ trinkets. |
| Android / iOS / Switch | No verified official listing | Do not confuse an APK mirror, mobile claim or console rumor with an asraworks release. |
| Steam Deck | No product-specific badge confirmed | The sequel's controller and Deck announcement does not establish Liberation support. |
Core loop
Build the deck and the defense as one system.
| System | What it controls | Low-regret decision |
|---|---|---|
| Deck | Starting strategy and the cards most likely to support it | Keep one coherent damage plan and one answer to its worst matchup. |
| Cards | Towers and spells drawn during combat | Skip a reward when it lowers draw quality without fixing a weakness. |
| Mana | When towers and spells can be played | Save for a planned high-cost turn only when the current board survives the delay. |
| Trinkets | Run-changing passive interactions | Choose synergy and reliability over an isolated high number. |
| Offerings / Sanctuary | Pre-run power and metaprogression choices | Record the offering with every build so the result can be reproduced. |
| Ascension | Deck-specific difficulty progression | Use the documented Astral Dust skip only when current levels are trivial. |
Low-regret start
Five Tower Tactics: Liberation starting rules.
- 1
Choose one affordable stabilizer and one scaling tower job before adding situational cards.
- 2
Read the route ahead: an elite, shop, rest site or event is useful only when the current deck can exploit the reward.
- 3
Track why the first leak happened—armor, cloaking, crowd size, range, mana or insufficient scaling—then change one variable.
- 4
Keep base campaign, Celestial Dawn Survival and Astral Siege results separate; their pools and economies are different.
- 5
Check official patch notes before trusting a tier list, Luck formula, Overload threshold or trinket value copied from an old page.
Steam advertises more than 150 cards, 120 trinkets, 30 Sanctuary offerings, 60 environments, 30 events and 18 decks in the base game. The current 1.18.x notes still change trinkets and interface behavior. Every focused guide records its patch and DLC scope. Quest Meridian does not provide APKs, mods, trainers, cracks, generators, memory edits or purchase bypasses.
