The answer before the background

Our recommendation

Loop hero buildings should be planned by the next capability they unlock. Early sustain services make expeditions safer; the Gymnasium opens experience and traits; the Refuge and Crypt branches unlock the Rogue and Necromancer; the Supply Depot opens camp items; Library, Alchemist's Tent, River and other advanced structures expand deck or material systems. Farm for one prerequisite chain instead of upgrading every available building evenly.

Placement restrictions make the camp a planning board

Camp placement is not purely decorative. Some buildings require adjacency or occupy valuable spaces needed by later services. Before placing a structure, inspect its prerequisite and restriction, then reserve the required neighboring cells. The interface is authoritative because advanced building paths can be easy to block with an impulsive layout.

Watchtowers are a clear example of a placement-dependent service: they support fights near the campfire rather than every tile on the map. They do not replace boss preparation. A camp layout guide should therefore explain range, upgrade state and the class using that protection, not simply publish a pretty completed village.

Make every material request auditable

  • Write the target building and current level.
  • List every prerequisite structure first.
  • Check whether the building unlocks a card, class, service or only a numeric improvement.
  • Farm the exact missing material rather than generic 'money'.
  • Leave legal space for the next step in the chain.
  • Do not demolish or move a working structure without confirming the current interface consequences.

Common questions

What should I build first?

Choose the early sustain or progression service that fixes the next expedition problem; do not follow a universal finished-camp screenshot.

How do I unlock traits?

Build the Gymnasium, then gain expedition experience and choose from the offered traits.

Can buildings be moved?

Check the current camp interface before placing or removing anything. Plan around restrictions rather than assuming free relocation.

Do Watchtowers help bosses?

Community documentation says crossbow support applies near the campfire but not to boss battles, so build the hero for the boss separately.

What we checked

Official listings establish current availability and product facts. Community pages are used for mechanics and build history, then labeled separately.
