Loop Hero guide
A looping roguelike strategy game where landscape cards create the expedition, equipment changes constantly, and camp buildings turn recovered materials into permanent progress.
Current answer
What players need to know now.
The Loop Hero game is a single-player roguelike strategy RPG by Four Quarters and Devolver Digital. The hero walks and fights automatically while the player equips loot, chooses traits, places cards that rebuild the loop, expands a permanent camp and decides when to retreat. The verified editions include PC storefronts, Nintendo Switch, Xbox and a 2024 Playdigious mobile edition. Mobile lets players try the first chapter before a full-game purchase, and the official announcement says PC and mobile do not share saves.

Core decision loop
Build the danger, survive the curve, bank permanent progress
| Layer | What changes | Low-regret decision |
|---|---|---|
| Deck and map | Cards add terrain, enemies, support and transformations | Place only enough danger to maintain useful loot without breaking the current build. |
| Equipment | Temporary item packages change each expedition | Compare complete stats and class mechanics, not only level or rarity color. |
| Camp | Permanent buildings unlock services, cards, classes and traits | Farm toward one capability that changes the next run. |
| Retreat | Resource retention depends on where and how the run ends | Choose a return threshold before another loop becomes more dangerous than valuable. |
First expeditions
Six decisions that create reliable progress
- 1
Begin with a small deck whose cards each have a clear job.
- 2
Place enemy spawns near support or recovery only while the current equipment clears them safely.
- 3
Keep a few empty spaces around the campfire before the chapter boss appears.
- 4
Equip for a coherent survival and damage plan instead of chasing every orange item.
- 5
Retreat with the materials for a named camp upgrade rather than gambling the whole run.
- 6
Record class, chapter, camp unlocks and deck before copying a build or tier list.
Quest Meridian uses official storefronts and dated Four Quarters announcements for releases, platforms and patches, then labels community mechanics references separately. It does not claim unperformed hands-on testing, promise an unfinished update, distribute modified files or treat every search phrase as a real in-game currency.
